About The Author Kathy-MedinaHi, my name is Kathy-Medina. I live with my husband, Glenn and our three children Jake, Zack and Lexi. I live in Clovis, California. I am graduate of Fresno Pacific Bible College. After college, I was a successful Life Insurance Agent for fifteen years with American United Life. I quit the work force to take care of my three children and home school our son, Zack. Zack was diagnosed with Autism and Neurofibromatosis at age two and a half. He was in public education for two and a half years. Unsuccessful with our local schools, we pulled Zack out and began home schooling him. We did Lovaas for just more than three years. An intense 40 hours a week, one on one way of teaching him. Then, we switched to the SonRise program. Another home school program that just never set well with me. We did this for two and a half years. After SonRise I found the home school program that was an answer to our prayers! RDI (Relationship Development Intervention). We have been doing RDI with Zack since 2005. At eleven years old, Zack has made great progress by doing eight years of home schooling, six years of chelation, dietary supplements, diet intervention, sensory integration, vision therapy, auditory training, occupational therapy, saunas, speech therapy, cranio-sacral therapy and hyperbaric oxygen treatments. All totalled, Zack is on the road to recovering from autism. We are currently working on getting our insurance to cover IVIG for Zack and trying to get a grant to pay for Neurofeedback Training for him. This road to recovery is definitely a process!!! Many people have asked, "Kathy-Medina, how did you built this website?" After I wrote my book, Finding God In Autism I wanted my own website. I hired someone to do this for me but it did not work out to well...if I wanted it done right, then I needed to learn to do this myself. I was blessed to stumble upon Site Build It! (or SBI for short) SBI taught me everything that I needed to build a website. My book is in Barnes and Noble Book Stores, in my Ebay store and all the DOT.COMS. But I wanted my own website. The money I earn allows me to do more treatments for our son. I recently started up another website. It can be found at SeeYosemite.com. Since we go to Yosemite National Park at least once a month, it was a natural fit to tell others what I know about this beautiful place! Advertisers pay me to place their ads on that site...a way to earn money for treatments for Zack. SBI showed me how easy it is to get advertisers! An SBI site is only $299 a year! (that is less than $1 a day!). You don't need to know web design or how to host a site. All you need to know is how to watch a video! My husband tells people, "I didn't build the site...Kathy-Medina built it!" I don't have any more time than you do! I did these sites in the evening...and before I knew it...I had two websites!
